Back to school

On Monday I took a huge step....
Paid my deposit to hold my space in the next NURSING ASSISTANT class! I start Monday February 18th, I am SO excited!! This is something I've pushed off for two years now. I got the desire in my heart shortly after my dad a brain aneurysm that ruptured and he was hospitalized for a long period of time. My dad was in & out of the hospital / nursing homes for over a year. Over that time he was in ICU (intensive care unit) for the first few months after he had his brain surgery, he was induced into coma to help him heal.My father was one of the lucky ones, the statistics say 15% of people die before they reach the hospital. It was actually a miracle that my father was found, My parents had been separated for 6 months or so, my mom had just happened to stop by the house( which she didn't ever do) and found him passed out in the bathroom.
My father did live but didn't have a full recovery , he wasn't able to walk on his own, eat, he had a feeding tube and a tracheotomy ( a breathing tube through a small hole in the throat). He had struggles , even memory loss, now that was hard.  I'm so thankful he lived that day, He had the opportunity to accept Jesus as his savior and now I can live with the overwhelming peace and Joy knowing where my daddy is today! He had the opportunity to spend time with his grand baby and watch her grow.
Now that you are filled in on that! The whole reason I want to become a ICU nurse  is because of my daddy, I want to make him proud. I was in that environment for so long, i saw some of the best nurses and some of the worst nurses. I want to be one of the good ones that really do care, to be able to serve and help other people. I want to make a difference. My Plan is to take this 5 week class, get certified, get a job quickly *fingers crossed* work for a few years and get enrolled into nursing school. I'm so thankful for my husband who doesn't let me stop, he helps me reach my goals, he gave me that extra push to get my GED completed and to enroll on school ;)

Wonderful Weekend

This has been such a good weekend , my heart is full and happy!
The weekend started with a doctors appointment for me. Friday early morning, well that turned my day upside down, wasn't the doctors appointment it self but the procedure... It was to get my long term birth control... After my appointment I was in drastic pain, the most pain I've ever been in , in my life... My kiddos were at the In-laws so I was able to try to sleep off the pain, and once my husband got home I took some pain killers& the pain got better finally. Thank God.
Friday night was Maddison Raum's 5th birthday party, Maddison is the youngest of 6 in the Raum family. I was their nanny for 3 years ,they are like my family. It was nice and refreshing to spend time with them , sense I stopped working for them in July I had only seen them once or twice unfortunately. Gracie was SO excited to be reunited with her BFF's Morgan and maddison. She even got to have a sleep over with them friday night! Funny story- they wanted to sleep down stairs on the couch but in the middle of the night Gracie girl woke up , went up stairs and climbed into morgans top bunk LOL my crazy girl . I as well was thrilled to see some of my favorite people and mentors, Debi, Donna, Dena, Sarah and Kim! It was the first time for some of them seeing baby Sophie, so she got passed around & around lol. The birthday party was a lot of fun! Saturday night I got to see all of them again at Debi's pot luck get together! Yeeee! Now for today Sunday, the day of rest ! & spending time as a family! Our normal Sundays include breakfast, church, football and spend the day at my husbands family's. This rainy sunday however mommy and daddy are both sick, cold, sore throat, running nose, not fun! So we didnt attend church this morning . We are at the in laws spending time eating Manudo ( yuk not me ) watching movies, no football today thank heavens! Hopefully Vic will let me sneak away and do some shopping!(cross my finger's)

Here are some pics from This wonderful weekend .

why i love being a mom

•I love that they look at me and love me more than any material thing
•I love that they would choose their daddy and I over anyone
•I love that they depend on me
•I love when they give me kisses & hugs
•I love that they like the snuggle
•I love their sweet pure kind and innocent hearts
• I love that I'm raising a world changer
•I love how helpful they are
•I love that when they are scared they come to us for comfort
• I love that when I'm sad my girls just have to look at me or kiss me and it all changes
• I love their curiosity ( even tho something she asks why why why)
• I love that they love Jesus
• I love toothless grins
• I love the baby smell
• I love that even when I'm out with my husband they still are stuck on my mind.
• I love holding my sleeping baby / or looking at them sleeping and thinking how beautiful and innocent they are
• I love praying with my children
•I love that having a movie night with popcorn and candy and letting the rules slide is the most exciting thing to them
• I love when my daughter picks a flower to give me

I wouldn't change being a mom for anything. Having my two girls has been the best thing that has ever happened to me! I'm so thankful i have victor to do life with me & raise our children together! Here are some of my favorite pictures :)

Sophie is TWO months old!

                                                      Sophia is TWO months!!
Wow! Two months already! Seriously can't believe it , I want her to slow down she is growing too fast! Her dad on the other hand cant wait until she is crawling & be saying her first words, he's so excited for her to say dada!  Sophie is such a wonderful baby, on the 19th her two month birthday she actually blessed US with a gift ! The gift of sleeping all through the night, Hallelujah !! She will sleep from 8 or 9pm till 6 or 7 in the morning! Sophie loves to EAT! She went from eating 4 ounces to eating between 6-8 in just a week or so! She has long outgrew her newborn clothes and diapers ! She is now in a size 1 diaper, this little girl can wear 3 months, some clothing lines even a 6 month outfit

Sophie is past the newborn stage where she just sleeps all day, during the day she is awake for 3 or so hours at a time , naps then is awake again. She is looking around grabbing fingers or Mommas hair, ouch! She has started to coo like she is trying to say something it's so adorable! Sophia has such a strong neck, she is so good at holding her head up!!

Today was her 2 month check up and my big girl doubled in size !! She is now 12 pounds 4 ounces& 22.5 inches long! I was shocked!! I thought she was maybe 10 pounds & Victor was guessing about 11.  For you parents you also know what the 2 months check up means.... Those AWEFUL shots :( poor little munchkin got 3 shots in her thigh and some liquid medicine in her mouth. It was so sad to see my baby girl in pain , someone so small and innocent in a pain, someone who doesn't understand why she is getting poked, she cried for a minute or so but as soon as she got her bottle in her mouth she stopped. Today was one of the first time we saw actual tears in her eyes, heart breaking!

As of now, she has just been getting infant Tylenol and sleeping it off! Praying we don't have a fussy girl tomorrow.
We are so extremely blessed and lucky that Victor & I are the couple the Lord chose to raise his little princess! Out of all the other people on this planet he chose US! Such a special privilege
Sophia's first Tutu <3

Sophia will praise you because she is fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, we know that full well. (Psalms 139:14)

2013

It's JANUARY 2013 & a NEW year

I thought I'd share some of the resolutions I made this year. Im sure many of the 'new years resolutions' are broken & forgotten by February but I believe this year I am at one of the best places in life I've been, and all the glory goes to the Lord. I like that it's the beginning of the new year ! New slate , New things are going to happen! Good things! (like getting my taxes) yippie!!! Lol . I'm excited to set new goals and to see God work in my life. My husband and I took part in a 21 day Daniel fast to start the new year off right & boy has it been tuff and the temptation to eat all the wrong foods (& i work at a sports grill where servers are constantly passing by with delicious smelling food- ultimate torture)but it's all about the sacrifice, Jesus sacrificed his life for us , God sacrificed his own son- amazing isnt it?!! Well we can sacrifice these 21 days! And the outcome so far has been wonderful , we are feeling Gods presence so strongly and growing closer to him everyday.

•So my resolutions are
1) Grow closer to the Lord (I want to read my BIBLE more , I read my devotional every morning and the bible but I want to dig in more and spend more time meditating in the bible
2) Loose the rest of my baby weight & fit back in my jeans (on my way there about 6 more pounds) I guess that means I should work out huh!? Ugh just tuff to find time with 2 little ones.
3) Journal about my life& my kids growing so I can look back (blog)
4) Get a better paying Job
5) Share my faith more
6) Less time on social media (I can just hear my husband shouting AMEN lol) I want to concentrate on my kids when they are awake not on my phone and when my husband gets home from work put my phone away not be surfing through the web, texting my girlfriends or checking Facebook. He sure is a hard worker going to work for 10-11 hours a day so when he gets home I wanna try to cater and give him all my attention

I am BELIEVING and have faith that the best is yet to come, ALOT happened last year I got married ,Inherited a new family (& boy did i get lucky with awesome in laws) moved out of my comfort zone , gave birth to my precious Sophia! Lost & got a new job, got a new 2012 car with my husband , switched churches & a whole lot more. So much changed but they all are wonderful changes.&& I am believing and thanking God in advance for healing & salvation for my family & friends

Whatever you're facing in life or whatever is coming in your future, God has already given you the faith for it. It may not look like it , and you may not feel like you have what it takes to overcome but faith in God isn't based on our circumstances or how we will - Joyce Meyer

Until next time
Be Blessed

All about the Roman Fam.

 I'll start with who I am ,

My name is Carly Roman. I've always wanted to start a blog, I love reading and following other's blog's so I made it one of my new years resolutions :) & i got encouraged by a fellow blogger Rachel Leah  <-(click here) So here goes nothing! I hope you all enjoy reading mine and hearing about my life as a mother and a wife! I am happily married to the love of my life and best friend Victor. Victor is such a blessing to me in so many ways , he is honestly the most amazing, kind hearted, giving & humbled man I have ever met. God sure knew what I wanted and needed when he brought Victor  into my life. God is and always will be the center of our life, marriage, family and home. We have TWO daughter or I should say two princesses. Hence my blog name TWO by 21 :)
My girls are my everything , its crazy how much you can love someone, my girls have blessed my life so much! I enjoy being a mother and believe its one of my callings. I love seeing them change, grow ,learn and discover who they are in Christ.

                                                                      Gracie Marie

Gracie will be 4 June 9th  of 2013, she is a bundle of joy and love! She makes her momma laugh with her constant sillyness. She is energetic, hyper, SO bratty (typical 4 year old)  loves to sing and dance. She is so independent, she is 4 going on 16! She is your typicall girly girl, Loves her nails painted and dressing up. We tried to put this girl in tball and oh boy was that a big mistake, she was known as the dirt artist of the team. She didn't like her uniform she would of rather wore her tutu to tball!
Gracie just became a BIG SISTER !
She is so wonderful with her little sister! She is always trying to help me (kinda hard bc Sophie Is so little right now) but its warms my heart so much to see how she is, calling her  Baby girl and her little sweetie pie! Just <3 it!!

Our new baby Girl is Sophia Ella . She was born November 19th  2012. Her daddy and I are so blessed, she really is such a good baby! Sophie loves to sleep and eat! This girl can eat!! I really can't even believe how much she eats! My little chunkster! Almost weighing 10 pounds already :)  We recently got her ears pierced!! Daddy wasn't thrilled about that one but hey mama gets what mama wants ...

& not to forgot our wild animal , Macaroni (Mac) our 5 month old golden retriever pup who makes
our family complete.... Well for now away!

Be Blessed.
